"Surprise" Party for Michael hosted by baby Lyons!

Baby Lyons hosted a party for Michael (with my help). We had a sono last week and decided to keep the gender a secret for a few days. We had the sonographer write the gender and put it in a sealed envelope that we promptly took to the bakery.
On Michael's birthday, we invited over family and a few friends and baby had it's big "reveal"! We had everyone make a guess about gender and provide a name suggestion. Girl votes: 8, boy votes: 5. (All the women voted girl and all the men voted boy.) When we cut into the cake the middle layer was BLUE!

A new cub is being added to the Lyons' Den!

Autumn at the Arboretum 2009

Monday, Honey Carol took Sarah and I to the arboretum. She bought Sarah a little umbrella stroller and Sarah (who has previously hated all strollers and refused to use them) took to it instantly. Of course, she wanted to snap her baby into it and push her baby down the path. This took a great deal of time and eventually we had to take the stroller away because Sarah wasn't paying attention to anything else! There were a few little tears and a bit of grumpiness for a bit and then she got over it. The gardens were beautiful! We finished off the morning with a late lunch at Babe's Mmmm.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Pumpkin patch 2009

On Tuesday, Carrie Peck and I invited everyone in our Village Mommies Playgroup to meet up at the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. The weather was a little iffy - but the kids didn't mind one bit. I just threw Sarah in her rain boots and off she went. She had the best time running around after Morgan exploring everything. She especially loved the giant slides and obstacle courses. She was so polite and patient. She would hop up on the obstacle course then wait for Morgan to crawl up before running through it. She would then get to the top of the obstacle course stairs and wait for Morgan so they could slide down together. They giggled their way down every time. ADORABLE!!!

Halloween Playdate

From October 09

On Wednesday, Sarah and I had a ball playgroup hopping! At 9:00 am we met up with some of Sarah's Moppett's friends and at 10:00 we headed over to Julie, Leah, and Noah's for a fun craft and very tasty treats! Sarah was very proud of her craft and has shown it to everyone that comes over to the house.
